MOROCCO EMERGENCY EARTHQUAKE APPEAL 2023

The worst earthquake since the 1960’s struck South West of Marrakesh, in the High Atlas Mountain area on Fri 8th Sep, destroying many rural and remote villages.

Over 2900 people killed, over 5000 injured and many more buried under rubble following a 6.8 magnitude earthquake.

This tragedy has left thousands of people homeless and in need of assistance.

Allah S.W.T says in the Quran – Surah 5 – Verse 32:

Abu Hurayrah R.D. narrates Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. said “Whosoever removes a worldly grief from a believer, Allah S.W.T will remove from him one of the grievances of the Day of Qiyamah. Whosoever alleviates the needs of a needy person, Allah S.W.T will alleviate his needs in this world and the next. Whosoever conceals the faults of a Muslim, Allah S.W.T will conceal his faults in this world and the next. Allah S.W.T will aid a servant (of His) so long as the servant aids his brother.” (Sahih Muslim)
